What is Geofencing?
A geofence is a virtual perimeter that lets a system know when people enter or leave an area. For cameras such as the Blackbox, it allows the device to arm or disarm itself whenever someone crosses a border.
For example, when you leave your house to go for a walk, the camera will automatically turn on. This function uses your smartphone's GPS and WiFi to work.
Turn on Geofencing
Find the Geofencing ability within the "Sleep mode" option in the device settings page.
1. Tap the "Edit" button on the top right, then select the GEOFENCE option on this page.
2. Tap on the button below to set your current network as the GPS position location. Once set, the name will appear in the "saved" field.
3. Now, whenever you are in the set Wi-Fi zone, the camera will automatically shutter its lens and stop recording.
Please keep the app running in the background to use the feature! If you completely exit the app, your location will not be relayed to the camera, and the feature will not activate.
